What is one thing.....

that you did not want/did not like when looking at RH's?

for us it was dropped ceilings - we would not book anywhere that had dropped ceilings - especially in the reception room my FH has worked at so many catering halls and dropped ceilings are his pet peeve - which he passed along to me

can you tell im bored?

ets: if we were getting married any other time than winter we would not have wanted to get married at a place that was on a main road either - but since our wedding is in december and nothing will be outdoors i didnt let that bother me to much - since JT is on a main road kind of....

I didn't want a long rectangular dance floor. I feel it separates the party too much.. nice big square keeps everyone together instead of feeling like you're in a line dance..

i like squares and circles for dancefloors - i dont really like rectangles either - i like when everyone is close together too - our eparty was a square dancefloor and i did notice that everyone was dancing together for the most part - instead of dancing in sections

i DIDNT WANT ANYTHING THAT HAD WOODLIKE WALLS...

i knew i couldnt have been the only one who was picky .....ugh one thing FH and I dont like is that in JT the hallway by our reception room and i think even the bathroom are painted like a greenish color - but i guess i cant be too picky about the hallway

Exactly!!!

I didnt want anything that was going to have too many weddings at the same time.
I refused to see another bride on that day. I was so anal I even asked locations of where other receptions would be lol

Had to be the only event going on at the time
also NO huge chandeliers and no marble floors

NO CRYSTAL CHANDELIERS! I don't like overly glitzy rooms - I wanted something kinda woodsy, different. I don't like the mirrored wall and crystal chand. thing that so many LI halls have.

this was me too. I hate big crystal chandeliers and anything that looks gaudy; my RH is mostly brick and very rustic, and I like that.

carpet w/separate dance floor (I wanted wall to wall wood flooring)
marble flooring anywhere
mirrors
chandeliers
gold adornment on anything
chairs that were cushioned on the upright part (yes I know I'm )
murals
patterned tablecloths
low ceilings
more than one wedding at a time

yes i had a difficult time finding someplace

ETA: because apparently there's lots I don't like

Mirrors all over the walls
Tacky paintings,
wood dance floor,
lots of gold and chandeliers

same here, my RH is simple but elegant , no mirrors and tiny chndeliers

i don't like the electronic board with all the events going on in the lobby of the hilton...feels like the events are seminars or something...i dunno i went there on saturday and cringed at it cuz i think its cheeseyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I actually do like Chandeliers and fell inlove when I saw our RH room!

I didn't have any specifics. I only looked at 2 places and when I walked into the one I picked it made me so excited it was just beautiful. THAT was all I needed. No stress
