I would send just a note of thanks and wish you could have made it.

Then when you receive your 'photo' thank you cards, send another

thanks! I feel funny NOT sending one now...but cashing the checks...then sending one after the wedding. I am going to write them out now...

THANKS!

Why not just call them to let them know you recieved their gift and say thanks...then when you get the thank you's send them a card.

I sent informal thank you notes when I received the gifts, to be followed with the picture TYs when I get those.

I always think it is best to send thank yous as soon as you get the gift- this way its done and there is no chance of forgetting.

For people who sent gifts but didnt attend or sent gifts and were no shows atht he wedding, i sent an informal thank you. Im not sending a pic thank you. I feel the regular one was good enough..

you are supposed call and thank them for the gift or send an informal thank you on stationery.

when you do your official wedding thank yous after the event, be sure to send one.
