for a wedding band? FH thinks I should go with something simple and then upgrade for our anniversary- but I can't wear my wedding band on the same hand as my ering becuase of the shape (my center stone is a pear and there are trillions on the side) So I want diamonds- I dont actually want an eternity band0 but want that look across the top, chanel setting- what do you think is a reasonable price?

Re: What is reasonable...
My wedding band is 1 carat worth of diamonds in a row but just in the front not an eternity band. And I paid $1000. Not exactly sure what kind of a deal this is...

My wedding band has 13 round diamonds across the front, it was $700 - hope that was a good deal!

Try lookin on blue nile. I'm not saying that you need to order it there, but you might get a general idea for prices. Experience has shown it is actually reasonably close to what jewelers charge.

If you wanted to wear it on the same hand you could. I'm getting mine custom made by Elsa so I can do that.
I'm going today to design it. It;s going to have diamons (yellow) only on the front and I think it'll be about $1200-1500

Re: What is reasonable...
That is like mine- channel set round stones w/ 14 diamonds accross the top onto the sides of my finger.
Althought we already bought mine as a set, I still look at similar rings all the time idk why??
Depending in the quality of the stones (you'll probably want the color of them to match your e-ring) and the # of stones, I have seen anywhere from $400 - $1400.
oh- also the shape of the stones in the channel makes a diffrence. Princess costs more than round b/c of the way they need to be cut to align in the channel. (so they say)

Re: What is reasonable...
Mine is 7 round stones in platinum.. total ct weight is 1.78 and I wanted stones the same color and clarity as my e-ring because the stones are prong set and very visible.. it cost $2,300

most of the ones ive looked at are between 1000-1500 - just diamonds on top; not all the way around

A lot has to do with the metal - platinum is going to be a few hundred more than gold. You can save by getting 14k gold instead of 18k gold.
