it really varies depending on which day and time of year, but i would think around $100 for a saturday night.

I would say anywhere from $60-$120 would be an average depending of course on the day of the week, place and time of year.

Suffolk - Friday or Saturday night - Full formal sit down dinner.

We went EVERYWHERE, and everyplace we went with tax and gratuitywas about $150.00 PP. We fell in love with Giorgios and we're getting lots of extras! They start at about $110.00, you could do better if you went for a Sunday or Friday. What place are you thinking of? I could probably tell you what they're asking.

There's really a huge range. You can find places that are $50pp up to $300pp. Most places I saw were in the $120-190pp range without tax and gratuity.

It definitely depends on time of year, # of guarentees & the type of wedding you want. I got awesome pricing from every place I went. We were looking in suffolk and nassua (mostly nassau), 200-225 guest, on Labor Day Sunday (just like a Sat. night). If you want pricing FM me!

The ones I were looking at ranged from $55pp to $83pp. From November to March or April, the prices will be lower than the other months not mentioned in most places.

a huge factor is also the month you want your wedding. If your looking at June, thats probably double the price of a February wedding at the same place.

There are so many places on the Island to choose from, your best bet is to establish a budget and work from there.

I got Villa Lombardis for $85.00 pp for a Saturday night (in February, though!!)

I negotiated my butt off -- he originally said $98 and I'm like, yeah right!!! Not for that time of year!!

There's such a HUGE range! You cna go anywehre form like $35 p/p to well over $200!

for colder months you can def. get under $100 a person... for the warmer, more 'popular' months you could be looking at over $100... it depends on where you go, number of people, etc...
I was never quoted over $100 but I was looking at Sundays in October and November... days of the weekend vary as well...

I think your best bet is to get a range over the phone, most places have a website with pictures of the place. You can weed out what does not appeal to you. I'm getting married next year and I'm fairly new to this website however, I found this site to be helpful.

I looked at so many places on long island, it was so time consuming. In considering your choice, think about what's most important to you before setting a budget. For my fiance and I, quality of the food is on the top of the list, and the view is also important.

If you are looking for a breathtaking view, great food and wonderful service try Giorgio's at Fox Hill. It's out in Baiting Hollow, kinda far but most hotels provide shuttles. They are doing some 1998 pricing for some dates in 2005. I just booked for '06 and got a wonderful deal!

that is definately something worth exploring...
My fiance and I have not booked anything yet however, I have not come across anything less than $85p.p. that meets our criteria.

Great food, service, view, patio for cocktail hour. I have to say, I am blown away by prices. I had the opportunity to visit several places in the past three weeks...some beautiful, some just way out of our budget.

Carlton's was one that we loved, $$$$$ out of our range

Huntington townhouse, didn't like it at all. Only because too many affairs going on at the same time...well that's really unavoidable considering the size of the place.

I like most of the catering halls on the north shore.

One catering hall that was reasonable was mileridge Inn, which met all of my criteria.

Another few I enjoyed was the cresent club, thatched cottage, bay club and the Harbor club.

I totally agree with your prices...I would say the ones I likes ranged from $75p.p.- 105p.p.
