My friend had that at her Greek wedding...they throw cash at the couple. That is the only wedding that I've ever seen it at.

I've been to weddings where they pay a dollar to dance with the bride or groom (the dollar dance) but, I've never seen it done with dollars on the floor.

My best friend is Greek. The dollars are thrown at the people on the dance floor. But at the end of the night the money goes to the band, not the couple.

We're Middle-Eastern - same thing w/the money - gets thrown on the belly dancer or guests, but then given to the band for their work.

I've seen it at Greek weddings (I'm Greek!) ....when I was little, I couldn't wait to get married because I thought that all those dollar bills were the bride and grooms at the end of the night. Yeah right!!!! They go to the band!

oh really? I thought I saw it once at an Italian wedding... maybe I was wrong. Actually, the picture I was trying to post was Greek orthodox. That makes sense. My DJ thought I was talking about the 'Dollar Dance' (one cent, ten cents, etc.), but I don't like that song. I was just trying to think of what song it went to where the dollars were EVERYWHERE. (***** that it doesn't go to the couple... would be nice to make a little return on our investment... bands get enough $$. W T F ???) lol
