One of my dearest friends and I go to lunch every friday. We had planned (2 summers ago ??) to go to Great Adventure - her husband & I HATE roller coasters and her & my FH love them - so it would work out perfect.
One friday I picked her up for lunch and I started driving to our destination. She was going on about something...and then said: We can't go to G.A. this summer.![]()
She said: Yeah, the dr said roller coasters aren't good for pregnant women.
I stopped the car in the middle of the road and we started screaming and crying together. I still remember the day as if it was yesterday.![]()

My brother and his wife gave my mother a framed picture of the sonogram. The frame said 'I Love My Grandma'. I thought my mother was going to pass out cold. ![]()

Misty...that is AWESOME!....My best friend had been trying for awhile and went through 2 surgeries....the morning she found out she called me at 6:15am to tell me (BEFORE HER OWN MOTHER!!!)...I had thought her pipes in her new house had burst since a few days previous she had been telling me that the toilet was leaking!! ![]()

My FI's cousin wrapped up a pacifier and gave it to everyone at christmas. That was the cutiest thing I have ever seen, but the picture frame sounds even better.

This one was cute.
At my bridal shower I was holding my 7 mo godson and my cousin came up to me and said 'Im getting one of those' and pointed to the baby. I was like 'What' and she said 'In about 7 months!'

my sister and BIL gave my Mom a bag with a few small jars of baby food and asked her and my Dad did they think they would have room for these in her closet!!

Since I lived far away, I had to tell my parents the great news over the telephone![]()
So, I tried to 'sneak' it in while engaged in a normal conversation w/my Mom...my Mom was going on about how she and my Dad had just returned home from Babies R Us to buy a safety gate to keep their aging dog away from the stairs when they are at work or not home. So I said to my Mom, 'Yeah, it looks like Jeff and I are going to be spending ALOT more time in that store, too!'![]()
If I close my eyes, I can STILL hear my Mom screaming with joy and jumping up and down in her kitchen, and that was over 2 years ago!![]()
ETA: When I get preggo again (hopefully next year), I will 'break the news' by having Paul wear a t-shirt or something that says 'I'm the BIG brother!'![]()

My DH and I also did the sonogram picture in an 'I love my Grandpa' frame as a way to tell our families. To tell my sister, I showed her some pictures, one of which was my 12 week 'belly' shot. She couldn' t figure out what was up with my pose and kept asking if I was going into modeling to make some extra money!! I was dying laughing. When i finally told her she cried her eyes out.

Well its early for me. But ironically last year I saw this bib in Spanish that said 'leave me alone I'm going to Grandma's.' And I got it b/c I've never seen a bib like that. I was going to give it to my niece but forgot to mail it.
Well anyway my hubby reminded me I bought that and said why don't you give that to your mom for Christmas. Then, since my MIL is also coming for Christmas, we are going to give her a #1 Grandma bib and have the two moms open it at the same time. That is how we will annouce it.
