Definitely NOT food. I would have to say MUSIC.
Food isn't going to get people to stand up and dance and smile to make all of your pictures look good. Food doesn't create the memories.
I have yet to go to a wedding ANYWHERE where the food blew me away. Sure some places are better than others but there is no way a place can serve 100 or more dinners at once and have them all be HOT (the way I like). JMO.

I'm Italian and my family still talks about my cousins wedding (in the 80's, won't disclose where) where the food stunk, and the expresso was bad.
so, for me FOOD is a biggy.

It depends on the guests but for most of our guests (my family and friends) it will be the drinks and the music but for FH's family it will probaby be the food.

I think food then music. People will always say 'the food was sooooo good' even if the DJ wasn't all that great.

Music and food and drinks are really important, but the MOST important is a bride and groom that are enjoying their party. If the B&G look miserable and are not having fun, the party will stink...relax, laugh, kiss often (and don't freak about not looking 'perfect' in pictures...you only get this moment once)...that's a guaranteed GREAT reception IMO.

I think to have fun is the most important thing about the whole wedding! I don't like too much detail and traditions that have gotten too old. I want everyone to just have a good time!
