Right after the bride and groom made their entrance into the room - each center piece had some kind of fire work go off. It was pretty cool.
That would probably give some of my geriatric guests too much of a shock to the ticker!
Very different though!

My friend married a Policeman and they had the bagpiper's come in and play. It was so amazing!!!
They started playing outside the hall and the sound kept getting louder and louder as they entered into the room.
It was really touching
When I see bagpipers and hear them play I get goosepimples. Something about them!!
I adore bagpipes!! They give me goosebumps too!! But Pete said we can't have them because we are not Irish I told him it had nothing to do with culture...I just like the dang sound...he won't budge onthis one

I thought bagpipes were Scottish? Are they both?

Hey Nina... my cousin plays the bagpipes and will be playing them at my wedding (as people enter and leave the church and during one of the band's breaks in the reception). he lives in queens... maybe i'll send him down to Russo's for ya... the price is right = FREE!

I went to a wedding years ago, never left my memory.. The groom sat the bride down in the middle of the dance floor & made her have her back towards him.. He went behind the dj booth with his ushers, They put on dark glasses, & held those blowup guitars & they started playing 'my girl' to her , There was not a dry eye in the place
