When the bride and groom were introduced into the reception, they walked under hockey sticks since the bride and groom loves hockey

ha, two brides.
My aunt recently married her long time girlfriend. They went to Massachusetts for a weekend to do it.
I haven't been to too many weddings though... the last 'normal' wedding I was at (my aunts was a really teeny thing, not anything that was really planned out in advance) was when I was maybe 7 or 8.

At one wedding the Best man wrote a song and played it - dedicated it to the couple instead of the traditional speech...

My cousin who was an Irish World Champion step dancer at one time had all her dancing friends who were at her wedding dance at the wedding.... the band played a few jigs and reels and they all danced together... it was awesome! Like a mini-Riverdance! A few of them even wore the authenic dance costumes.

a bagpiper at the church, first time i saw that...
and donations to a charity in lieu of physical favors (this was years ago when the concept was not as common as today) so i was really surprised by it and i loved it-- first time i had seen that and i'm happy to say that i'm doing it myself and i've seen it again since then (such a great thing to do!!!)

My friend married a Policeman and they had the bagpiper's come in and play. It was so amazing!!!
They started playing outside the hall and the sound kept getting louder and louder as they entered into the room.
It was really touching

When I see bagpipers and hear them play I get goosepimples. Something about them!!

Right after the bride and groom made their entrance into the room - each center piece had some kind of fire work go off. It was pretty cool.

That would probably give some of my geriatric guests too much of a shock to the ticker!
