I think I can safely speak for all the past brides (including me)...whenever a bride to be compliments you on an aspect of your wedding (flowers, dress, menus, details, etc.) it's pretty awesome and a great feeling because SO MUCH TIME and planning and emotion went into planning that ONE DAY...hearing someone else like it and appreciate is just gravy.

ETA: And after seeing Chris' post I have to agree...being told that I'm 'brutally honest' is a good thing. I love helping and do so because I enjoy it (and I do have a life, I think ) but I like to give an opinion or add only if I can help...not just because everyone else thinks so, I'm OK with going against the grain. But of course, it's all in the delivery...I'm not out to purposely hurt anyone and offensive comments are never welcome. Sensitivity does run high though, so it's a fine line. But I attribute the sensitivity to 'Bride Brain', when planning is over you'll understand. Right now, the brain doesn't function normally.

I received this in an fm after helping out a very sweet girl the other day. It made me feel good, since I have a pretty direct, manner-of-fact way of seeing things and sometimes it's misconstrued when I write- my 'manera de ser' is not always appreciated this this way.

'I love you. you are so to the point and honest very good quality in a person. thank you so much for getting that info for me and your advice. ..Thank you again you are awesome. take care and i will talk to you soon.'

Yesterday I helped out amstellitelady via FM and she said that I'm 'a doll'!! That made me feel good!

Also, when I posted my hair/MU trial pics and the 06ers said how pretty I am. And after the last GTG at Cozymel's (when my pic was all over this site) and the girls who were there said I was so funny.

But the best is when you ladies tell me I'm smart, or personally thank me for creative ideas, or quote something I wrote and put 'well said'. I love that!!!

Maybe that's why I'm so addicted to LIW, you girls are such ego boosters!!!!!!

I got an FM from an 06 bride a few weeks ago that was just too sweet I had to save it.

I'd say the nicest things are when people ask for photos of my stuff. One girl asked for pics of my hair, a couple of girls asked for supplies and directions on how to do my programs and menues.
