What is the proper way to do this?

Original post by jteach711

My moms cousin replied NO to the wedding, they live in Arizona and I barely know them, but they just sent me a $100 check.

Do I send a thank you card now or wait until after the wedding and send a rwal thank you with our pic?
TIA

I had ordered some notecards with one of our engagement pictures from shutterfly for this.... So I could send a prompt thank you - but have a pic of FH & I. I also used these for some shower gifts we got from people who live far away that did not come but sent a gift. (and probably aren't coming to the wedding either- so they could have a picture of us). HTH!

I would call and say thank you and then send a formal thank you after the wedding. Even if you don't know them, they just sent a check to someone they hardly know and I think that was really nice, especially coming from Arizona.
