I just wanted to add that a regular photographers takes candid shots too, traditional photography is not ALL posed pictures. Photojournalism implies that, yes, the shots are candid but they are also taken at interesting angles, in black and white, and differently focused. But both will take candid shots - ask the photographers you're looking at to show you albums with both styles. Its not all about posed vs candid.

this is kind of off topic - but i know a lot of girls AREN'T doing a must take list. . .
i want to do one but not for the PJ shots - I want it more for WHO to include - it is VERY important to me to have all the aunts uncles cousins etc represented. so i was going to do a list of family members by names and relationship - do you think that photogs would find this annoying?
it is just that - sometimes people dont understand family relationships. . .like i am SUPER close to my cousin - BUT - her photog only included pics of my brother and sister with HER WITH all the other cousins that she sees like once a year. . .so we dont have a pic of our 'family'. . .meaning the 6 cousins that basically grew up in the same house. . .does that make sense?
also - at my brother's wedding - he only got ONE picture of my g-ma bc she couldnt stand long and her eyes were closed - that was one of the last weddings she was able to attend and it was like she wasnt even there!
