I've only gotten compliments on my e-ring BUT when I was showing a woman at work a ring I got for Christmas a few years ago she was like, 'Oh it's nice, I like small jewelry.' Biiiiiitch!

I know how you feel . . . I have a full carat emerald cut in a high setting with stones around the band and on the sides, and someone said 'how cute!'

The funny thing was that she was engaged and had no ring at all.

Someone said cute to me too and it really bother me. Funny thing too was her ring was smaller then mine.

So funny! Even though my brazilian waxer and I have a 'close' relationship, I still didn't know what to think when she called my ering dainty! It's over one ct. and there are two sidestones!
And I love it, it's perfect
Anyway, dainty doesn't necessarily mean the diamonds are small, they could be saying the setting is dainty!

My grandma said 'It's very dainty' and my solitaire is 0.43... so I am thinking she meant 'small'.

The one weird thing I have heard is that it look Antique-y, which in my opinion it really doesn't at all.

I think my ring is pretty average in size. people are always exaggerating!

I got DAMN GIRL! Also i got OMG thats gorgeous! And how much they loved my setting. etc. Oh yeah & my cousin's reaction was you spoiled B*!CH haha

same thing was said to me (its dainty!), but it was while my gyno was doing her exam....soooo embarrasssing. i hate when they try to make small talk when you're laying there getting your junk checked.

WHAT?? OMG That ridiculous. Your ring is a beautiful size. I swear i love how those people have to say something that silly just to make themselves feel good or sound like they have SOOOO much money! PUH-LEASE!

i get embarrased alot in strange places - the same scenario has happened to me a few times but in different places - a woman notices my e-ring, compliments me and then yells out to all the other women to come look at it - its like the most embarrasing thing ever - this has happened in the oral surgeons office, the doctors office, when i was trying on my wedding dress and at the hair salon - its like anywhere i go where there are lots of women i feel like it happens and i get really really embarrased because i dont like lots of strangers staring at my ring and talking about it and asking me questions....i feel like hiding it sometimes.....

one strange comment i got was from this older woman (a total stranger again) - she said 'i didnt know they still made them like that' i guess referring to the shape of the stone i know that pears stones were popular like in the 80's i guess and not popular now (which is the reason i wanted one ) but it was just weird....

Half teh people do not realize the better the stone the smaller it usually is. Because it is somewhat impossible to really find a flawless diamond in over 2 cts!!! DUH she probably has so many inclusions & has no idea! hahaha

Half teh people do not realize the better the stone the smaller it usually is. Because it is somewhat impossible to really find a flawless diamond in over 2 cts!!! DUH she probably has so many inclusions & has no idea! hahaha

i think its extremely rare to find a D color diamond, that is F grade and an ideal cut in ANY size - whether its half a carat or 5 carats
