at an engagement party. With just food, talking, background music, and wedding party announcements, it seems like it may be boring. What else is there to do?

Since there were so many kids at mine we had alot of fun dance songs played. Everyone got up to have a little dance. Mine went very fast..couldn't believe that it was already over!!

between dj, food, and drinks the night flew for us and our guests. If we didn't have the dj it would have been boring though

definitely get a DJ. He helped a lot. We all danced and mingled and drank the entire party. It was so much fun. It went SO FAST. Oh and make sure you eat! FH and I were so involved dancing and talking to everyone, and we were so excited, we barely got to eat anything.

I agree with having a DJ, it definitely makes things more lively. You'll be surprised how quickly time passes. Everyone will be meeting one another for the first time or seeing them for the first time in awhile so they will entertain themselves for alot of it

We didn't have dancing at our engagement party. There was a lot of talking and celebrating with family and friends, many people hadn't seen us since we got engaged. We had our party at westbury manor and instead of having the dance floor empty, we put the buffet there. It was a great use of space and made the party flow a little better. I had a great time and didn't miss the dancing at all
