Two people in three days responded '2 persons attending' when they were not invited with a guest. Both of these people are people that we were debating inviting at all. They are part of the same social circle, are very single, and will know enough people there. Yesterday, I called one and very apolgetically explained 'I'm so happy you can make it. I'm so sorry if the invitation wasn't clear --but we had a very hard time with our guest list. We were only able to invite a certain amount of people, and in order to invite the people we wanted to, we were unable to invite single friends with guests. If things change, I will let you know. '. She was very appologetic, and totally understood. Now, today, I get another one! This is from a girl that I used to be close with, but hardly talk to at all anymore! We were friends when we used to go out to meet guys, but since I've been with FH, we don't have much in common anymore. She is constantly with a different guy, and I don't need her to bring her flavor of the week to my wedding! Is anyone else going through this?
ETA: Sorry if that sounded too harsh, I just needed to vent. I think that was my first one!

YES! I had someone IM me and ask me if she and another girl who I invited could bring someone because they are both ' seeing' someone.
I was like NO! These two girls both always have a flavor of the week.

Fh has had to call a friend and family . Sometimes its an honest mistake other times I'm sure they know. I want to know the guests that are attending our wedding. There has been several times FH friends bering complete animals to weddings. I was not about to let that happen and neither was FH. People are crazy and just don't get it sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the exact same situation...a girl I'm not that close with responded for 2 when she wasnt invited with a guest. I just let it go, because we had some room with the guest list at that point and I didnt think it was a battle worth fighting. Turns out she did have a serious boyfriend (shows you how close I was to her; I didnt even know she was dating someone!)

I had a girl call me today because she forgot to mail the card til today (response date was saturday)so she wanted to let me know the card would be late....she said 'i'll be there, i may bring my cousin'... umm...you MAY bring your cousin? when r u going to decide if you have already mailed in your response card? plus she wasnt invited with a guest!!! grr.. i was so shocked on the phone I couldnt even politely tell her the guest list was limited. (oh, and i am still missing 50 people 2 days after the response date)

Wow, I'm glad I'm not alone! And Kimbalina, thanks for the compliment -- I was worried about it, it was not easy. I thought of letting it slide, but its crazy -- if I let it slide with one, then I think others from the same social circle may feel slighted. Two people who know each other did it! RSVP date is Friday the 6th, and we are missing a bunch still. I have to learn to chill!

This happened to me too! How rude. I just told them the same thing you did. Alos, if you are not comfortable to come alone then I understand if you cant make it. My own work friend at first was taken back and said she then wont be able to make it but then realized another person we work with is coming so she will be fine. You have to put your foot down.

I totally agree with you! My invites haven't gone out yet BUT.............. When my STD's went out, my Grandmother's cousin sent us a list of 6 couples related to HER (not my family) that she thought should be invited
LIKE W T F FH and I haven't even invited some friends b/c of our limitations.....to put it plainly...some people have a lot of balls
