What is wrong with people?????

I have to vent about stupid people, im sry...

My tenant is a piece of you know what. He didn't give me the rent this month and I don't have enough to pay the mortgage. So i'm borrowing money from my parents cuz I have no choice (thank god for them). But my tenant is a complete and utter moron because he went away on vacation and won't be back til March. You would think he would give me the rent before he left, right?!?! (It was due on the 19th) But no.

I'm usually sooooooooooooo nice to him but when he gets back i'm gonna give him the biggest piece of my mind. And i'm gonna start charging him for being late or i'm kicking him out.


On top of that, there is this absolut pig of a man that I work with (the school psychologist). The entire school hates him and my principal is trying to fire him right now. He made up this whole story and lied about me and my co-teacher to my principal the other day. I cleared it up with her but I still had to go to this special ed iep meeting that he was at. In front of the parents of the kid, he goes to me 'YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN AND WE NEED TO TALK.' I told him no and he could talk to me later in private. So he repeated it again. I walked away, told my principal and she goes 'Tell him if he wants to speak with you, he's to come thru me first. He's not allowed to speak to u alone.' She was soooo mad at him. Oh and fh and my dad wanna break his legs cuz he's made passes at me too. This guy thinks women are objects and that he is a gift from god to women so that's where he comes across being this way. And I didn't take any sh*t from him today and won't.

as for your tenant, i used to be a building manager so i know how hard it is to deal with tenants. what i used to do was send invoices.

example: rent was due the first of the month, their lease said if we don't receive by the 10th the late fee is $25. if we don't receive by the 20th an additional $25. some people who get 3 invoices a month & after a while they get the idea.

and ive really never sent him invoices but there have been plenty of letters for reminders and such. even our lease agreement says that everyday he's late (after a 5 day grace period), i can charge 50 dollars per day and ive been nice enough to never do that. so maybe i should now?

You totally should start charging. Maybe that will clue him in to how disrespectful and rude it is to not pay on time. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. If my tenant paid late I would go crazy...thankfully he always pays early!

As for the co-worker, OMG! I dont know what is wrong with people. And even more shocking...he's a psychologist and should know how to deal with people. I am glad the principal is on your side!

Yea I really don't understand people. It is rude and disrespectful to pay rent so late! I would have never when I rented!

And you're right, you would think a psychologist knows how to talk to people. My principal is so fed up that she even told me 'I'm gonna grab him by the balls, and twist them so hard....' lol

I say if the tenant doesnt pay on time def charge him the $50 a day...And if it keeps up call the town and ask for help from them...Once the town gets involved the guy has no choice!!!

And the coworker bullshyt...if he makes another pass at you file a harrassment complaint!!! Once you make a formal complaint then your principal will be able to fire him like its nothing if there is a threat of 'legal action'

unfortunately that's not the case. apparently squaters can even stay and YOU as the landlord have to have the electric/water on for them.

there was a whole documentary/expose on the news or 20/20 one night recently. i was in complete shock at how the system works


It's basically always on the tenants side, no matter what unfortunately.

yea this is the same guy. he doesnt have those people living down there anymore but every month the rent gets later and later. and ive heard its really really hard to get a tenant out. they always take their side, not the landlords.

oh and lets just say my dad can be a real a** if he wants. he's gonna go down there whenever the guy gets back (with me), since he technically owns the house also...i can always count on him lol and he can definitely be a scary man. so lets see what happens.
