Re: What is your budget?
I originally wanted to stick to $25K as a budget, until I realized the price of halls - and ours is about $23K....so now I'll save in other areas and hope to stay under $40K.....and we're paying for it ourselves - so if we don't have the money, it doesn't happen! The hall was a splurge, but we didn't even think twice about it.

Re: What is your budget?
We started out with a budget of about $36k but ended up spending closer to $42K but that's including EVERYTHING (I notice something missing from other people's budgets ) Here's most of it:
Reception for 180 - $17,100 Church Donation - $250 Church Music Director's Fee (mandatory) - $175 Harpist - $200 Invitations, Stationery, stamps, etc - $940 Favors - $437 Guestbook - $139 Table Cameras - $69
Photo & Video - $3200 DJ - $1400 Flowers - $2300 Limos - $1400 Limo Overtime - $300 Westbury Gardens Site Fee - $355
Hair - $40 (friend of the family) Makeup - $175 Pre-Wedding Mani/Pedi/Wax/Facial etc - $0 (gift from Mom) budgetted $150
Honeymoon - $7800 Rings - $850 Wedding Night Hotel Room - $349
Day of Tips - Total for all Vendors $1200
Marriage License - $35 Pre-Cana Classes - $50 Rehearsal Dinner - $650 (gift from In-laws)
Now... that totals over $43K...and I didn't even include the BP gifts so now I'm confused!!
The little things add up big time!!!

$20,000 does seem steep! I'm having a Friday night too and mine comes in at $18,000 based on 180 including an extra hour, continental coffees and pastries, valet parking, bottled beer, taxes and gratuity! (Basically $100 a head).

We're having about 150 on a Friday night but I added ALOT of extras. Valet, Viennese, Chocolate Fountain, 3 bottled beers, 4 entre choice, 1 hour extra, Raw bar w/shrimp. I think thats it. We would up with about $106 pp +tax ang grat.
I'm actually high balling because we are going to cut a few things to make up the diffrence from our original guest estamite of 110!! It wasnt so bad then those extra people cost us $5,500 more!!!
I'm sure it will be great--we loved it! Good luck!
