My dad wants me to make him a CD of multiple songs, so he can pick one.

I would appreciate any ideas.

My Dad & I are dancing to You Lite Up My Life by Debbie Boone. I picked that song (it is a surprise to my Dad) because when I was little I used to sing it to him.

We're dancing to 'Unchained Melody' by the Righteous Brothers. I picked it because it's always been 'our' song. My Mom says that when I was a baby my Dad used to cradle me in his arms and dance me around the living room....

We haven't spoken about which song we'll dance to, I want it to be a surprise. I know there won't be a dry eye between the two of us though!

My friend danced with her father to this song. I know she debated over it because she was afraid that it seemed like it was a tribute song for someone who passed but when she played it for her mom she took it as more of a you're growing up and leaving but we'll always have a special connection and we'll still be in eahc other's hearts...KWIM?

I had one song in ming but it made my dad cry and he suggested another song (he's a great dancer)...sooooo I'm doing the chorus verse from 'Because You Loved me' by Celine Dion and have that blend into 'My Girl' by the Temptations.

Butterfly Kisses has sentimental value for me and my dad. When I graduated from HS my parents installed a cd changer and sound system in my car. He picked me up from work and when we pulled into the driveway, my trunk was open with the sytem and my car was blasting butterfly kisses. This is definitely going to be our dance, but I don't know how we will make it through since this song makes my parents and myself cry when we here it (especially as we get closer to the wedding.)

Isn't the faith hill song 'there you'll be' about someone dying and their spirit being with you always no matter where you are?
Kind of morbid? Don't cha think? Just my opinion though..
