We have lots of favorites...we are definitely food-oriented people.

Hmmm...some favorites:

Piccola Venezia (Italian)-Astoria
Pio Pio (Peruvian)-Jackson Heights
Cucina, Al di La (more Italian) Park Slope
Cabana (Caribbean-ish) Forest Hills

We're still exploring our new neighborhood...looking for new favorites out in W. Suffolk.

Oct2004 - I went to Intermezzo years back. I dont know how it is now, but we found it to be a bit pricey for the kind of restaurant that it is. We havent gone in a few years so it could be different now

As for my favorites, Sempre Vivolo, Casa Rustica and Country House.

Agree with Cindy on Intermezzo, it appears huge from the outside but isn't on the inside and it was sort of overpriced, this was maybe a year and a half ago.

We like Gasho, Chef's, Olive Garden (don't laugh) and various local italian places near us.

One of our favorite restaurants is Kati Allo in Bayside. They have the absolute best Greek food. Sounds like it's pretty far from you, though, so I guess that's not too much help.
