Helsinki Finland!!!!!!!! that's where my entire mom's side of the family is from! so it's not exactly from a tourist perspective.
have you been to Europe before? and are you definitely going to go in December? time of year is a big factor in where you'd want to go. Finland is absolutely freezing in late December!

Budapest, Hungary was my favorite to visit. An interesting blend of East/West.
Croatia sounds amazing, but I've never been there.

Florence, Italy was one of my favorite cities ever.
I also really loved Paris!
I booked a tour in Italy last September for people 21-38 year olds and LOVED IT. It wasnt a crazy party bus... most were in the early 30s range it was really pleasant.

Funny you say that, Ive been to maybe 20 European cities and Helskini was by far my least favorite. From a tourist perspective, it was just a terrible disappointment.
I would have to say Krakow, Poland and Tallinn, Estonia if you are looking for something more exotic.
Brussells if you are looking for something more mainstream.
Cinque Terre Italy!!! Breathtaking, and non touristy!

I have to ask you when you went? I feel like in the past few years they've increased their nightlife- partially due to the fact they now have more immigrants living in Finland (pretty much since they joined the European Union).
don't be hatin' on the Finns!!! hahaha j/k....it's definitely more fun to run around the city when you have someone w/ you who lives there (like my cousins)....I also kind of like that it's not as hectic as some other cities, I work in NYC, so when I go away I don't want all the crazyness that I usually deal with on a daily basis!! lol

Paris and Brussels are my faves, I haven't been to Spain or Italy yet, but hopefully going this summer
