What is your favorite European city??

Stockholm, Sweden!!!

It will be cold in December, but it’s totally magical—and they have this amazing Christmas market in Skansen.

I really wanted to go to the best Christmas market in Nuremberg, Germany, but it’s too late now.

Also loved Koln (Cologne) in Germany. Least favorite would have to be Tallinn (probably didn’t help that I had just gotten off a cruise ship hungover when I got there—it’s a big thing that Swedes do, lol) and Paris.

I’ve only been to Turku in Finland, but have been wanting to go to Helsinki!

Let me think—I backpacked all throughout Europe last year, so I should know more. It really depends on what you’re going for and what kind of person and traveler you are.

YAY!!!!! my fellow scandinavian adventurer!! I haven't been to Sweden yet, but I'd love to go!!! I'm finnish, swedish, norwegian & german.....basically a mutt....but I'd love to visit all the countries of my heritage.

If you do ever end up in Helsinki, for nightlife check out Club Helsinki or the Zetar bar in downtown Helsinki (near some historic college that I forgot the name of). It's so funny b/c they call it an 'american' bar, but yet when you go in there they have a mechanical bull and all this 'country' stuff, it's sooooo not what I think when I'd think of an 'american' bar lol. I guess they think we're all a bunch of cowboys!!

Yay for Scandinavians! I’m actually moving back to Sweden end of this month (FH is Swedish) and can’t wait!

Haha, that bar sounds like some Swedish ones I know too! There was this really crappy one whose name I forgot, but they had sawdust on the floor and was more hardcore country American than anything I’ve ever seen in America! A bunch of Swedes brought me there and was like “Just like home, huh?” Um, I’m from New York. I’ve never seen a real mechanical bull in my life, lol.

yea it was funny b/c the guys in Zetar (the 'country' bar) were so amazed I was from NY....I remember this one guy was like 'my friend Joni (or whatever his name was) lives in Florida- is that near you? do you know him?' it was hysterical.....I guess that dude was drinking too much (as most finn's do!!) and forgot his geography for a second there!!

I definately LOVE PARIS.... I have lived in Rotterdam and Munich and was able to travel all over Europe....

Paris is my favorite number one place to be.....

Prague.... is second...
