What is your favorite NYC bar/restaurant?

Looking for things to do on a bachelorette party. Not really into the stripper thing, just want to go bar hopping and to dinner with some friends. What is the best bar or restaurant you have been to in NYC and why?

I went to a bachlorette party that started at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. It was a relaxed and fun atmosphere, great margaritas and food.

I went to Jack Rabbit Slims for a bachelorette party recently.
It was an awesome time....I almost wish that we hadn't gone there for hers so I could go for mine.
Great music, good DJ, and get this - they have two stripper poles in the bar - so much fun, esp for a girls night out!!!

For dinner I LOVE LOVE LOVE El Cantinero on Univseity between 11th and 12th. They really have the best fajitas in town!

I live in nyc, and if you want to go bar hopping it is fun to go to the Mc Faddens on 42 and 2nd, or if you want to go to the upper east side 74 to 77 and 1st and 2nd there is brother jimmys, bar harbor, etc, or if you want to go to 50's and 2 there is Sutton place, my favorite and there are a bunch of fun bars over there swuch as turtle bay Joshua tree.Good Luck

I work a few blocks down on Hudson St. and I have gone to Happy Hour at Cowgirl. Great place!

I second this suggestion!

I also love Telephone on 2nd Ave. (between 9th and 10th, I think). Great pub food and atmosphere.

My favorite restaurant is El Cid... it's Spanish -- great sangria and shrimp!! LOTS of fun!

I loved La Sevilla downtown. The food is great.

Bars: My favorite: Tiki Room on 22nd.

Also love: Session 73, one of my friends is the main bartender there, so I just love that
place.

Lastly, The Whiskey in the W Hotel Times Square. What a scene that place is.
