Monkeybride We are using 'The Luckiest' as well! We got engaged to that song at his concert in Central Park.

I have heard of the two songs, but have never seen it. Anyone know about that?

I have loved 'The Power of Love' by: Celine Dion for so many years....it was one of those, I was planning my wedding at 8 yrs old kind of things. So I really hope he agrees with me on that but I am not sure.
I am tearing just writing about that song. I love it!!!

I have been to a few weddings where the bride and groom danced to two songs... I'm not sure at what point the couple danced to the second song. I'll have to look into this.

The second dance is a spotlight dance which is usually done after the cake cutting and parent dances. Our spotlight song is Endless Love - Diana Ross & Lionel Richie

Our first dance will be to the Eagles 'Love will Keep us Alive' .. we always had the Eagles 'Hell Freezes Over' CD playing in his Jeep when we first started dating and that song was playing the first time we said to each other 'I Love You'

ETA: Also a big fan of 'Have a Little Faith in me' ... what a beautiful song!! The words are just so amazing

I have been to weddings with two songs. They can be the first song and then the spotlight song after the wedding cake.

I have also seen where the bride and groom dance to one whole song all by themselves and then the DJ (or band) asks the parents and bridal party to come out for the second song and then everyone else. I personally think this took too long....(especially that they are long songs) but its your day so you do whatever your heart wants.

We are using 'A Moment like this' by Kelly Clarkson. We luv that song.
And she won American Idol just around the time we met so it has meaning!

I also luv that song that Jessica Simpson redid- 'you take my breath away'
So I guess that will be my second song

I absolutely, love, love, love that song.

I know what you mean about songs being 'one-sided'...But I generally like those one-sided songs better when it's a man singing it...I don't like love songs sung by women.
(Well, I do, but I would never pick one for my wedding song---Unless it was a duet...)
