What is your minimum and How many people R you inviting???

My minimum is 150 and I really do want to keep it around that number.... so we are thinking of inviting about 185 so far. I'm afraid to invite too many people and end up with more people and having to order more center pieces, etc. How many people did you invite and how many people RSVP No? So far the people I've spoken to make me really feel like they'd come (esp. people I've spoken to that I work with). What do you guys think? I should keep the invited list at 185 or go higher or leave it alone??

We don't have aminimum but I told him it was going to be around 100-150...we're at 151..more than i wanted

our minimum is 150, and we're invited 250-260 we're hoping to land at around 200ish

our minimum for the room we chose is 275
my guest list is at 320
but i am hoping for an even 300

Min 70. (But room can fit 120)

Inviting about 110.

Hoping for 80. (alot of them are out of the country people).

our minimum is 180 and we are inviting well over 200 guests! hoping for 185-190

Our minimum is 120. We are inviting about 190. Hopefully we only have about 150.

Our minimum is 165, we are inviting 225. My parents are hoping for 175 as they don't like big weddings but FH has a huge family. We are hoping it stays under 200.

We guaranteed 200 & have 250 invited. I figure we should get about 210/215

Our minimum is 125 and we have a guest list of 186. We are hoping that if we do go over the minimum we end up around 150. We are already paid in full up to the minimum already.. thank goodness

minimum is 120 on the guest list are 157.

we invited somewhere between 320-330 guests, after i sent out invites, my dad took some of my extras for ppl he forgot to invite so thats why i dont know exactly since dont know how many extras he took lol. In the end we ended up with about 260-270, again dont even know how many came exactly but thats bc there were just a few no-shows but then others who did come so messed up my final number that i handed in. My guarantee was 275

they say the average is 20-30% and for me it seems like it worked out EXACTLy that way. Inviting 320 guests, that means if i go by 20% saying no then thats about 60 which is exactly how it worked out. But also keep in mind its 20-30% so can be a bit over the 20%.

Dont just look at the amount of no's others received. You have to look at the number of guests they invited period. The more you invite the more no's you can possibly get. If someone invites 150 guests then they say to expect around 30 no's, 250 if you go bey average that works out to about 50 no's if you do the 20% thing. Of course there are some who can invite a very large amount of ppl and get a few no's and then some who have a small guest list and get ALOT of no's. I saw this happen alot on the 08 boards.
