Re: What is your 'Something Old'?????
I think i'm going to ask my grandmother for something of my grandfathers to sew inside my dress, maybe a hankerchief of his. He's my only grandparent who has passed away, so I thought it would be nice to carry something of his.

ME!
Actually I had a handkerchief that was my great grandmother that I held around my bo-k.
Also my e-ring was my grandmothers so I guess that counted too.

Re: What is your 'Something Old'?????
Umm.. .so far the oldest thing I got is me!
I may wear my mom's first ever pair of earrings in my second hole, but I want my borrowed & old to be separate, so I asked my mom & she was NO help. MY aunt had a hankie of great-grandma's for my cousin, but my mom said she doesn't have anything like that. I'm hoping my aunt or grandma can help.
How old is old? My mom's earrings are from 1964/5.
I dig the whole vintage thing & was hoping for some thing from at least grandma or older.

Re: What is your 'Something Old'?????
My something old was a hankie sewn to be a bonnet that was given to my mom when she was pregnant with me. It had a poem with it that basically said to snip the strings and carry it on my wedding day, so I did.

Re: What is your 'Something Old'?????
My old and borrowed were the same. My BM Brother's girlfriend at the time gave me her diamond heart necklace to wear that she got from her very first boyfriend..kind of weird but she gave it to me to wear while I was getting dressed. First I thought I wasn't going to wear a necklace, but it looked beautiful. I thought since it was her first love and she still kept it, it was symbolic of love.
