What is your thought on....

seeing eachother on your wedding day... before the ceremony?

we are thinking of doing it so we can get our pictures out of the way before the ceremony so we can enjoy the cocktail hour

we're not, but, we're having an early ceremony and we have A LOT of time for pics....im also excited for him to see me walking down the aisle

everyone's different, some people are so adamant about not seeing each other, others dont mind!

We are going to see eachother first.. which I'm kinda sad about.. because I wanted to see his expression when I walked down the aisle..

but we are getting married at the RH and so we want to have outdoor pics at OWG and we don't want to waste our WHOLE cocktail hour and make our BP waste theirs taking pics.

i almost had a heart attack last night when he almost saw a pic of my dress and we then discussed it. and we wont be able to go to the CH if we dont do pix before the ceremony.

hes been married before so prety much all supersistions are out the window for me. if they didnt workt he first time for him they wont work now

We're doing it to. The photographer will set it up so that you will get the surprise shots. I also hear from passed brides it helped calm nerves before walking down the aisle.

We're doing everything before the ceremony. But, we're also spending the night before together (we live together) just like every night. Besides the fact that we're our ceremony is at the RH and starts in the evening so it would be most convenient to take all pics beforehand, for us, it's just not a huge deal to have that first 'moment' when we see each other be when I walk down the aisle. We're going to have a 'moment' when he first sees me all in my dress but it will be beforehand and for me personally, even more special since that moment will just be between FH and I (and the photographer of course) and not have EVERYONE watching. It's more intimate and more....us. His face and expression (and my reaction to it) will be for just us to share. Trust me, your FH's face will still light up when you walk down the aisle whether he's seen you already or not, because at that point, when the doors open and you start to walk down, it's now about the commitment and the ceremony and your vows, not just 'the dress'. That's actually how FH worded it exactly when we were discussing our options, which I loved.

But everyone feels differently. In the end, you have to do what you feel is right for you guys.

Debi told me that she and Fred will see each other before the ceremony at Chateau La Mer; It's called a reveal/rehearsal. I guess because of the other wedding, after theirs, there are time constraints. Mary MOB

Same here. Most photographers set up for the shot, they tell you okay he's coming.... so they are ready and capture the two of you seeing each other for the first time.
