What kind of candle sconces do you have on your wall

Just curious. I bought one yesterday, but not sure if I like mine.

K- It didn't give me an option of color when i checked out. I think black will be fine but if they have brown, get tha. I think it will look great against the wood. I don't have wood furniture so black was perfect for me. Total w/ candles came to $146. Good Luck!!!

I bought mine from Pottery Barn about 3 yrs ago - they're similar to Stacey's but slightly different. I love the look of them, but if you burn them for a while they leave a black mark on the wall.

Not sure if that will happen with all wall sconces though?

That does not happen with my sconces..but i find that when i buy those 99cents store candles, they burn a much blacker smoke..so i try to use better candles for ones that will burn near anything i care about.

My sconces are pretty large, so I use the medium sized candles from Pier One.

I'd care more if this was my own place - I'm in a rental, and they need to paint the walls when we leave anyway

I'm paranoid of fires, so I only light them a few times a year, when we have people over.

Teri - that black mark is just carbon...and should just wipe clean with a little bit of water! Have you tried wiping it off?

Yes, I have cleaned the walls - it's just annoying that it happens. (it's not a huge mark - just a subtle darkness above the candle)

I know what you are talking about Teri, that black carbon does leave a mark even with cleaning it!

Karina, you crack me up! LOL. Best of luck with it and I'm sure you will love it as much as I do. It really is pretty and it is quite heavy (it attaches by three screw, they give you the good achors and one screw should go into a stud). I think we payed $126 (and we used store credit I had from a returned gift)!

Claud, where did you order that one from it is beautiful. Sasha love yours too, but my husband said no way it 'will make you dizzy'. I get dizzy spells alot and things that go around like that if I stare at it I get dizzy. Really though it is beautiful.

Christy - Enjoy it!! I actually bought two different kinds that I was trying to decide between for my wall and I am going to keep both of them. Cant wait to light them.

We just got the spiral one for our anniversary today from the outlet. we needed something large for in between 2 windows and that fits perfectly. Now i just need a zillion more things to hang on these walls and all will be fine
