What kind of candle sconces do you have on your wall

Just curious. I bought one yesterday, but not sure if I like mine.

These are mine, although in a different spot now that we got new bedroom furniture this weekend.

Stacey those are soooo cute. Why am I always saying that about everything you have? Can you come decorate my house? I am afraid to open your bedroom furniture thread. I worry I will need to go out and buy the same set

Just keep reminding your self that it is the best form of flattery when someone wants to sopy everything you have!!!

Actually, I have a question about these sconces. I am a candle freak, yet I've never done the 'wall thing' becuase I'm afraid of the black stuff getting on my walls. Does this happen???

Jen, you are way toooo cute and funny! We need to hang out since we have so much in common!

2nd time, I don't light them all that much so I haven't seen that black stuff on the wall, you have to keep the wick low because you get that black stuff if the wick is too high and burning all over the place. I like them more for the look, not so much for them burning.

2nd time - I am a candle freak too. I wanted to buy ones that I can light so I only looked at the ones with the glass holders in it. They sell them with or without.

cindy, i have seen some nice ones in pottery barn.. if you like that style. just an fyi!

I haven't bought these yet .. but I really like these from Touch of Class Catalog and hope to be able to order them soon .. the brass is what I'd get, and they will go on either side of our wedding picture in our living room.

I love that circle thing! I saw it a few years ago from another store way cheaper than pottery barn (although it was probably not as good quality) and i wanted to put them in my backyard. Now i cant remember where i found them! grrrrr...

yes it is from pottery barn! i love it! it looks so beautiful when lit (DH had to convince me to light it...i was afraid b/c it was near the wall but the votive holders are much taller than the votives). Linens and Things has a much smaller replica. The catalog shows it over fireplaces but it is so nice over our bed (and romantic too!). thanks for the compliments!

Silly question:

Does it matter if I buy brown or black? Should I match them to the color furniture I have.

I have alot of wood pieces.
