So I have been in full swing of wedding planning since the summer of 08. I do have huge $ issues since FH and I are the only ones paying for the wedding and FH has a house w/ a morgage and what I make never seems to pay the bills BUT I am determined to make this wedding happen!!! So I have good days and bad days. Some days I feel like I can do this. We will save and make this wedding happen. Other days I feel like I cant do it. WE wont make ends meet etc. So far I have these things completed RH Photo Video DJ Dress (down to 3 choices) Picking BM dresses Contacted florist Deciding on STD (FH hates all the pics I want to put on it!) RB pillow Waiting for FG basket to arrive in mail
Thats all I can think of right now. Can I do it girls? Do you feel the same way at times? Just wanted to feedback. TIA

I feel like that all the time but I know FH and I are determined to do it with alot of sacrificing!!! You guys will do it and I'm sure most of us feel the way you do!!!

Of course - it gets stressful thinking about how all of this can really be done. But you have a goal and you know what you want, so you'll make it happen!

I have seen so many people struggle and believe me most do and make it. It will be fine. Just save and pay those bills and you guys will have this wedding!

I am in the same situation as you.....FH has a house and mortgage and we have joint accts so we both pay for it, but money for this wedding is really stressing us out.....I am tossing around the idea of just eloping......My family tells me no because I will regret it later.....I have always wanted the big wedding, with the big princess dress and beach reception, so I probably would end up regretting it, but the money is such a stress right now. We used to have an apt for extra income, but it hasnt been rented out since Sept and it is really hurting us. I know exactly how you feel and I too have good days and bad, so does FH for that matter....lol

WOW!! We are the same as you. FH has an appt that hasnt been rented since the summer. FH is very picky with who he rents to!

I feel the same way as you. I wish that FH already had a house though, because it would make things much easier on us. Because we don't have the house yet, he really doesn't think we can manage the wedding and he thinks we're going to suffer unecessarily as a result of it, so we're at the point where it's really possible we might push it in to 2010/2011...if we don't just call it off and screw the whole thing.
So that being said you can tell the day I'm having today...it's usually not to this extent, but I can definitely feel where you're coming from.

I have those days sometimes. I would never postpone but I would elope in heartbeat. FH just said yesterday if he win the lotto off to Bora Bora we go to get married just me and him. But in the end our wedding will be worth it. I am keeping tomy budget and not trying to go crazy with the little things because they can really add up!!

I feel like that too.. Its very hard .. There is alot of planning and I want it to be beautiful.. A day I never forget.. We have a house, new cars and alot of other things.. I pay for my education and its very hard.. But I feel as if we are doing good..

Of corse you can do it!!! I feel the same way sometimes... and if I get to stressed about the whole money situaton, I talk about it with FH. He keeps assuring me that it will all be fine, but sometimes I just stress out more then anything. Just set aside a certain amout from your paycheck each week and it'll add up before you know it. You can try INGDIRECT.com as well...for it has the highest intrest rate around..I put 100 in each week and completel forget about it. It'll come in handy one of these days LOL
