What kind of glue should I use? paper to paper

I am making my table name cards and I want to attach on piece of regular type paper with apic printed on it to some card stock to make it sturdy and to sort of frame it. What sort of glue do I use?? regular white elmers? I think that will make the paper all bumpy? Is there some special sort of craft or scrapbook glue or spray that will work??

Let me know what you think

Thanks

I recommend using a glue stick- they donot get clumpy!

In art school we used adhesive spray or rubber cement to lay our artwork out on frames. If you do use it only use a very small amount and in a well vented area. But to be honest I think double sided tape is your best bet. It is easy to use and it is not anywhere as messy as glue. It give alot neater look also.
