What kind of jewlery should I wear with this dress? (Now with Pics)

Chandilier earrings were too much...so I was thinking just nice diamond studs and no necklace. What do you think?

I would probably wear plain pearls or maybbe the 2nd necklace and diamond studs

i think a strand of pearls would be nice with studds..i think anything hanging would interfere with the beading on the dress..jmo

Yes- I agree - I would definetly wear a single strand of pearls around your neck - choker type. Either diamond studs or a pearl stud.

Your dress is beautiful! Because of the beading on the top, I wouldn't wear a necklace. I'd go with bigger earrings. Here are some things I found:

Maybe an invisible strand pearl necklace chocker length & the simple drop earrings from the first response?

I think a regular strand may still be too much, the beading is very delicate, jmho

I bought the SAME DRESS!!! WHOoooo!

When I was trying my on, I was wearing my diamond studs I got as an engagement gift. They are .60 each, so they are the perfect size. ANyways, the sales lady and both MIL and mom agreed I needed something bigger. Saleslady suggested a daimond look, but not too long or big, but something that stands out. She also suggested not to wear a necklace.

BUT - have you seen the new Martha yet? She has pics of some girls wearing ballgowns with jewlerry. It will fit your dress!

Are you going to put another crinoline underneath?

Oh to answer your question - yes I tried it on with and without the slip - and it looked so much better with the slip

I do agree to keep the jewelry simple. I like your idea of diamond stud earrings and I like a simple necklace like in the first post.

I like the idea of either chandelier or dangle/drop earrings - nothing flashy or big, something delicate but with substance - and maybe a bracelet. I wouldn't do a necklace.

But I'm more simple with jewelry - I only wore chandelier earrings and an antique pin in my hair.

Hmmm, interesting I wouldn't think chandeliers would be too much with that dress (as long as you weren't wearing any other jewelry). Maybe try a different pair? My friend got married last week and wore the most amazing pair of chandelier earrings with a heavily embroidered dress, it looked gorgeous, the earrings were very dainty but still chandeliers. I'd ask her where she got them, but she is on her honeymoon.

I would wear a simple necklace and simple drop hanging earings.

Hmmmm...

Definitely no necklace. I have one on at the time and it did not go. The pearl and crystal beading is enough at the top. And you want that to be a feature. Diamond studs are not enough without a necklace. That's why you need earrings that have a bit of substance, but that are not overpowering! I love chandleliar earrings, but you have to find the right ones for this very simple (yet elegant) dress. Nothing too intricate. The other bride which suggested a bracelet is good! I would do one bracelet on the right hand for sure.

I bought my veil when I purchsed the dress. It is lined with Crystals which match the dress, so it gives it a litter tiny sparkle, without that whole diamonds on the veil effect.
