we are having a mix of latin jazz and steel pan music (carribean), our DJ is putting something nice together...plus it reflects both our cultures

We're having instrumental dinner music. The DJ is just setting up speakers in the cocktail area. I just requested they play it low so people don't have to scream during cocktail hour to speak to one another.

Fh and I are fans of country, and since we can not play that at the reception lol, we're going to play it at the cocktail hour.

Most of my family is old and since I don't want 'frumpy' music during my reception, I've reserved this for the CH...probably a mix of standards and italian love songs...some frank sinatra, etc.

we're thinking of making our own mix cd of piano or classical music to avoid paying the DJ extra $$$ for the CH...

I'm probably doing a mix of light slow songs. Not elevator music, but maybe some Elton John, Frank Sinatra, etc. The dj should be able to give suggestions.
