My hubby will only eat homemade.

I can't stand bottled sauce - it's too sweet. I make a ton of sauce and freeze it. In fact, I'll be making a ragu tomorrow that takes about 2 1/2 hours to cook - I feel like a true cook!

The only jar sauce my husband will eat is Victoria's. I especially like their Vodka sauce - yum!!!

I like Classico tomato and basil. FH makes real sauce, I never learned how. His family is always on my case cause I am not italian!

Strictly homemade sauce for me!! I grew up in a house with my Italian grandmother. We were only allowed to have homemade sauce.

Homemade sauce only for us also. My grandparents make it.

Re: What kind of spaghetti sauce?

The BEST BEST BEST sauce from a jar is Rao's!!!! But it's like $8.99 for a 16 oz jar so I can't justify spending it often..and then I have my pasta with Classico and wish it was Rao's. When I lived in Forest Hills, I use to be able to get a 24 oz jar for $6.99 at the Fresh Market. Just tonight though, we tried Victoria's Tomato & Basil and it was very delicious. $4.99 a jar

Mmmmm homemade from an Italian grandmother...can I come to dinner?

rao's is good...
The only other non homemade i'll eat is Barilla... everything else is too sweet.

Re: What kind of spaghetti sauce?

I always make homemade, but I usually add some bottled sauce to even out the taste. Mostly I buy Classico or Barilla. When I feel rich, I'll splurge for Rao's. Now there's an even more expensive one made by that famous restaurant in the city called Patsy's but I think it's way too much $$ for jar sauce.

Yeah my co worker and I ordered it for lunch one day. They didn't deliver at that time so we walked all the way there. But I think they deliver now. I don't remember how much we paid, but it was on the expensive side.
