What kind of veil are you wearing.

Not sure why this is such a hard decision for me but it is lol.
I am not sure what kind of veil to wear with my dress, My dress is a sweetheart cut. I also really like the Birdcage veil but my FH family I think would rather see me in a veil. Is there a way I can do the birdcage and also a veil? How do you pick out the right veil for your dress?

Please send me pictures of your veils ladies so I have an idea. I know there are soo many different kinds.

Thanks in Advance
H

Re: What kind of veil are you wearing.

If its in your budget get two veils!!!!!!!! You can wear the longer one in church and take some pix with the bird cage one!

Re: What kind of veil are you wearing.

I think I'm wearing a fingertip veil only. You missed a great sale at Priscella of Boston. They had $10 and $30 veils. Insane!!

Re: What kind of veil are you wearing.

My dress is also a sweetheart cut and I think I'm doing a fingertip length veil with some rhinestones on the sides. I agree with the other girls, you could always do 2 veils if it's in your budget! I'd try some on and get an idea of what looks best for you and your dress. I thought I wanted shorter, but I really loved fingertip, just by how it all came together.

Re: What kind of veil are you wearing.

THIS is my current dilemma! Picking a veil!!! Who would have known. Waiting for my mom's to come in to see what I'm working with, but if it doesn't match I need to decide. She had a white dress but i'm hoping after 30+ years her veil has yellowed to ivory so it will match my dress! hahaha

Otherwise the hunt for a veil goes on.... I got a ridiculously long mantilla cathedral veil from priscilla but it doesnt match my dress at all and looks ridiculously long on me in pictures. I thought I'd cut it up for material but that seems a hassle and it was originally $1000+!! I dont know if i can take a pair of scissors to it without feeling ill.

I'm too short for a cathedral I think, so I'm looking into a blusher with the different chapel, sweep, WALTZ, Ballet, ankle, knee lengths.. What a pain in the neck. I can't decide. I had no idea veils were so difficult to pick out.

I'm leaning toward annguise at the moment but the problem is you cant see her veils in person. argh....

Maybe for you get the two veils and use the birdcage for your photoshoot between ceremony and reception.

Re: What kind of veil are you wearing.

I am doing a fingertip veil with lace. and possibly getting a birdcage veil as well. wear the long veil to the ceremony and formal pics and for the reception put the birdcage. it also easier to hug ppl because having a long veil during the reception it gets pulled on
