I have been looking at wedding favors and I just cant find anything I like ... What is everyone planning on doing for their favors? Maybe you will inspire me! Post picks if you can

My FH's aunt is making traditional Brazilian candies and we are using small favor boxes and giving everyone 2 or 3 of them. You can never go wrong with a yummy edible favor!!!

We're doing two things 1) Votives for seating 2) Frames with romantic quotes - each one is different and each table has a theme

for my engagement party, we gave out cake spatulas...i always vote for favors that can be used later on

Im doing the same favor. I thought the same thing. Guys and Girls could use it and it's not a dust collector which my family hates.

We're doing customized M&M's in our wedding colors (black & white) and putting them in a personalized box with our names & wedding date (found a great and inexpensive site for that), plus heart bookmarks and scented soaps (in the shape of an X and O for hugs and kisses). We're having 180 guests so I ordered 90 bookmarks and 90 soap boxes so every guest/couple walks away with 3 favors (candy, bookmark & soap box). Plus they can also take the customized votives home and the placecard holder which also acts as picture holder. The placecard holder is the bust of either a bride or groom. I found a site that sold the pair for .99 cents. Total cost of all the favors & placecard holder $4.20 per person. I'll attach some pics of the favors. Let me know if you need the sites.

as for engagement party favors-
my mom, sis, and i made about 320 tulle bags with jordanian almonds and herseys kisses and tied it with a bow. every guest will get one of these.
then i got an awesome deal on place card holders that are silver bells that double up as photo holders and every couple (or family) will get one of these. And since the bells are really small, a little over 2 inches, I thought we had to do one more gift, and we'll be also giving out small silver picture frames (per couple/family). I ordered about 132 silver bells (they come in set of 12, so 11 of those) and getting about 130 of the picture frames from a near by discount store (half have bells the other half flowers).
its hard to do the total per person because of the tulle bags but the other 2 gifts are about 2.00 dollars per couple/ family.
and what i spent on tulle (2 rolls of 50 yard 9 inch) 20 bucks, 8 pounds of jordan almonds, a little over 40, 3 costco size bags of kisses 27 bucks. so about 90 dollars and MANY HOURS making these, but i just did the math and its like .28 for each bag, so that is DEF an amazing deal.
by the way, i ordered personalized ribbons from ebay, 400 for like 40 dollars and i think that will be a nice look.

1) Place Card holder (Votive candle holder w/hearts) in my Album. 2) Burgundy/Black Satin pillow satchets that I'm going to glue glass heart beads that are clear/w/silver & black on the inside & maybe possible crystals (If I have any left over from my other DIY projects) ( in album) 3) Table pedestal votive holder. Another DIY project I'm going to glue just the top of them with a mixture of beads/sparkles/diamond dust. (in album).

We made a donation to Breat Cancer research. We just put a donation card on everyone's bread plate and a couple of people actually said that they appreciated the donation in their name rather than a favor that they may not use, or may even forget to take! Not that cute favors aren't great to get and some are even very useful in the future- but DH's mom beat breast cancer so we decided that the donation was the way to go!
