What kind of wedding plannner do you use, if any?

I want to get one, but there are so many that I can't pick! Most of them are gigantic, and I can't see it being practical carrying it everywhere, BUT the big ones have nice color pictures, and I need something to look at I liked Martha Stewart's, but at the same time, her's is the biggest! What do you use, if anything?

I used a loose leaf binder and then put dividers for the different vendors. Much less $$$ then buying a big planner.

Re: What kind of wedding plannner do you use, if any?

I didn't buy one, I made my own. I bought a binder, some sheet protectors and pocket dividers. I collected different planning & budgetting guides from the internet and magazines, picked which ones were most useful to me and inserted those. I also created my own timeline for everything by pulling from all those different guides, printed it up, inserted it, and that's the one I really go by.

Whenever I see something I like, I either rip it out of the magazine or print it out and keep it in there. I have sections for each part of the wedding: ceremony, reception, photography, music, etc. I keep all my contracts and receipts in there. For me this was much better than buying one because I customized it to me, but then again, I'm an organizing freak and I created a database for my guestlist!!

I was given one as a gift though that I often refer to. It's called 'Easy Wedding Planning Plus' by Elizabeth & Alex Lluch and it's really cute because it's kind of like a keepsake book too. It's got pages to write about the proposal, your best friend's reaction to when you told her you were engaged, etc, etc. It's also got pocket dividers to hold papers and a TON of information on everything and anything you can think of. It's spiral bound and about the size of a regular 5 subject notebook and cost around $20. You could check that one out!

I have a binder, but this is a gift from my mother. She told me to pick one out I agree that they are very expensive, which is why I wouldn't buy one for myself!

ETA: Thanks Jimmysbride, I will check that one out

prncssrachel -- here are some pics of it so you don't waste your time looking for it if you don't like it! The best part about it is that it has a flower guide that tells you about almost every kind of wedding flower there is and what it means.

Re: What kind of wedding plannner do you use, if any?

I am using The Ultimate Wedding Planner and Organizer. I got it as an engagement gift from my sister!! I could not have planned this wedding without it. Ok I exaggerate but it is so great. I also bought one myself and the Ultimate is a zillion times better. Good Luck. I am to lazy to put one together myself but congrats on those who did
