I personally am a red wine fan....but I think (and maybe I'm completely wrong...) that white wine is more widely liked by most pallettes??? I could be completely talking out of my butt though...

well no i think youre right that's why i'm torn.. my fiance drinks red and my immediate family drinks red.. but i prefer white.. so once again im leaving it up to you girls lol
i also noticed that more of the ladies drink white and the men drink red.. so idk

I think that since white is less acidic, more people might prefer it. Is it possible for you to order both red and white and mix it up?

I picked red. I love red wine and we're giving bottles of red wine as favors. I think generally, more people prefer white wine. However, when looking at bottles under $10 each for our favors, we couldn't find 1 white that we liked.
I think either way a nice bottle of wine is a great favor, and I'd be happy with either red or white!

I like both! Haha, but some people have allergies to certain red wines (me, my mom, FSIL) so maybe play it safe and do white. But I doubt you will get complaints about whichever you choose. Who can complain about wine!?

I think red makes a better gift but you will probably get more bang for your buck with a white.

I gave bottles of wine as my favors. I ordered half red and half white, and mixed them up at each table. It seemed to work out great! Guests traded between themselves based on preference.

I'm a red drinker, but a lot of my friends drink white. I am also doing wine as favors, but I think that I will do half red and half white and let the guests decide which they want.

I drink all kinds, but what I've observed also is that I see more people drinking white. Can you get both and let people decide by handing them out at the end of the night?

how about a blush wine? I personally love white zinfandel, and its a pink wine, so you get the best of both worlds!

I personally like white better, but I like what someone else said about mixing it up on the table and letting people pick! Although, I got a bottle of red at a wedding 2 weeks ago and although it's not my favorite to drink, there are plenty of other uses for red wine (ie: sangria, cooking, etc!)

Me too...check out some of the vineyards out east...i know Pugliese has some great wines for about $7/bottle reg price plus a case discount...also I got a quote for 1/2 bottles of Fetzer for about $4 for mixed cases

I personally like white wine better than red. I also did wine favors and I decided to go with Pindar Summer Blush Wine. I know there will be people at the wedding prefer one over the other. Either way, you can't please everyone. I would say, get whatever you and your FH likes since it's your wedding. The guests will appreciate the wine favors no matter what
