the fact that i love the sound of live music rather than cd's! also, i am a musician and it was something that was really important to me (haing a band).

i agree, i love live music. i don't dislike dj's per say, just feel that it is more festive w/ live music.

I can;t afford a band, but I'm going to try to have live music at one or all of the ceremony, the cockatil hour and the dinner hour.
Also, I've seen amazing bansd, but even the ebst bands screw up the words...!

fh likes to hear the original singer when he hears a song, plus a band is ALOT more $$ that we'd rather have in pocket...

I really, really wanted a band. My fiance really wanted a DJ. The big decision maker was cost. The cost of the band and the cost to feed each member of the band. Sometimes it works out if you use the catering halls house band then they charge you less for the members to eat. Good Luck with your decision!
