My dress is silk satin, does it matter what material the BM dresses are?

Me: Lace/Tulle Bridesmaids: Chiffon
ETA: I don't think the dresses need to be in the exact same fabric. Or at least I hope not...since mine aren't!

my dress was silk taffeta, and BM dresses were duet satin.
they definitely do not need to be the same fabric.

They are still in the same 'family' like lace/tulle and chiffon are both really feminine and romantic fabrics so i think it works really well!
I'm trying to do the same thing where their dresses are tied to mine some how but having difficulties. My poor MOH tried on like 20 dresses this weekend

I don't think it really matters/has to match your dress.
My BM dresses are chiffon. I just love that material - so flowy!

my dress is tafetta. and bm dresses are chiffon and satin. i have 6 bms they all will wear different style and material , but same color
