I have one of the kitchenaid mixers on my registry but think its sort of expensive-did anyone register for this? Which one? and for those of you who have had showers-did you get it?

yes, i did, dont worry about the price the worst thing that can happen is that you dont get it.... go for things you really like on the registry you may be suprised!

I registered for the 5 quart Kitend Aid one as well. Althoug it is expensive it is something that I really want and I figure that if I don't get it at the shower, I will likely have gift cards so I will put them towards it.

I registered for the Kitchen Aid b/c my boss convinced me that someday when I have kids I will use it all the time (not sure about that one!)

i only registered for a hand mixer - i prefer using that, like to be able to move around. also the big mixer doesn't fit anywhere in our kitchen and takes up so much room...on the other hand it looks fabulous on a counter:) i'm not a huge cooker so maybe one day i'll regret it, who knows???

My FMIL got me the KitchenAid 5 quart mixer.... in light blue... it looks so retro, I love it... Anyway, I've used it several times, I'm big into baking, and it is just so awesome, I love it.

we got the kitchenaid 5 qt. for the shower... it wasnt on the registry- dh and i had been going back and forth about whether or not to put it on. he thinks their 'hot' and wanted one so bad, but i really prefer the hand mixers becasue they're smaller and easier to pull out of the cabinet when i need it.... BUT my moms cousin made the decision for us and gave it to us at the shower. so far, we haven't used at all... but i'm thinkin maybe at christmastime when i make all my cookies... who knows

I don't really cook much. We just registered for the Braun handmixer and the cuisinart blender and food processer combo and got both.

I registered for the Kitchen Aid Mixer and two wonderful friends got it for me!!!! Plus I got a lot of accessories from more great friends!!!! I love my mixer and can't wait to use it!!! Go ahead and keep it on the registry. If no one feels they can purchase it then they won't and after the wedding you can use the discount to purchase it for yourself if you want. No harm in leaving it on the registry...you might be surprised!!!!

I got a 5 qt Kitchenaid mixer in white - my mom bought it even before I registered. I was coveting that thing for years! I have used it several times already - I love that thing!

I have a kitchen aid too and I really like it. The only drawback is that I dont keep it on the counter and it is soo heavy I have to struggle to get it out of the cabinet!!
I got the big kitchen aid mixer too at my shower with all of the attachments. I wouldn't worry about it being pricey because they last forever and are wotrth every penny. My mom still uses my grandmothers. They're great!

I have the industrial gray Kitchenaid (it's the professional one with more power, hehe). I love it. We didn't register for it b/c I couldn't wait that long to have one. I got it for my birthday last year.
I use it for everything: baking-cookies are super super easy now. I'm big on not eating processed foods so I make a lot more stuff then I buy. making pizza dough (so easy) mixing meatballs mashed potatos
I'm sure I use it for more stuff but I just can't think of it now.
