What 'must have' items are you leaving out?

What 'must have' items are you leaving out?

Ok, so there are a few things that I don't want to do for my wedding and I keep getting 'you need to have..such and such'.

I don't want a wedding website, save the date cards and a veil.

Is anyone else leaving out a 'must have'?

I'm leaving out save the dates and a florist. My bm and bf's mom have experience in the floral dept so we are doing them wholesale. And an expensive photo package, flip-flop basket and that's all I can think of right now. Oh yes and I'm using the hall linens rather than renting them.

Same with me for photog... i am getting the most basic package... i plan to do the parents albums myself...

I'm with you- that's EXACTLY what we're leaving out...We're also not doing the garter/bo'k toss or mother/son, father/daughter dance.

We are not having a flower girl or ring barer

Limos because most of the fam/bp is staying over the night before and we're staying over that night at Danfords.

Cry Packs, slipper baskets, petal cones.

We skipped STD's.

I'm doing my own photo books because I have a background in photography and I'm too much of a control freak and I love doing them!

I'm not doing STD's, slipper basket, or bubbles/rose petals after the ceremony.

Not doing the garter/bk toss either.

Re: What 'must have' items are you leaving out?

Not doing:
Cry Packs
Petal Cones
Slipper Basket
Monogram
Garter Toss
Vienesse Hour
Videography
OOT Bags
Pricy Shoes
Floral Centerpieces, unless I do cute potted flowers. Don't want to kill so many flowers for decorative purposes!
Uplighting - maybe I'd look into it if the wedding wasn't during the day in a room with lots of windows though!

Possibly doing/possibly not doing:
Limos
Bathroom Basket - if I find out my wedding will be the only one that day, then I'll make one or two.
Groom's Cake

I am not doing cry packs or programs and no church wedding. I want to be able to go from one room to the next to start the party!

I don't think we are doing the viennese hour - not doing cry packs or slipper baskets, but I don't consider them 'must haves'

ETA: not tossing the bo-k / garter
we got a dj instead of a band, which most of our friends considered to be 'must have'

We are not doing cry packs. Prob not doing a flip flop basket, most likely not using flowers... I don't know if I want a veil yet...

There's other things, but I can't remember them all

not inviting the 3 house of neighbors that equal 24 people that my grandmother and mother think that I 'Must' invite. Um, sorry, that got kicked to the curb the other day!

i am considering walking down the aisle by myself rather than i Must walk down with someone, ugh.

noone has really eluding to these being a MUST, but im not having a guest book, special toasting flutes or cake cutting set, no v-hour, no flip flop basket, no out of town bags (think these are nice but the ot guests know the area really well anyway), no morning after brunch/lunch. most likely not staying at a hotel the night of our wedding (i know this would be nice but to save money, were just gonna go home and spend the $ on the hm instead)
