What night is your rehearsal/dinner?

What night is your rehearsal/dinner?

I just found out the church we are likely going with will have the rehearsal the night b4 the wedding & doesn't start until 8 pm & if there is more than 1 wedding that weekend, you have to wait around...that seems crazy to me. What time will we be going to dinner.....10pm?

Ideally it would be great if it was 2 days before...

Mine is the night before 7:30pm... They gave me the option though to have it two nights before. I think it was because we booked so far in advance. Don't worry, it will work out.

mine is the week before, church @7pm, dinner starts at 8pm.... I wanted to really enjoy the dinner and not be stressed or have to worry about the wedding the following day etc. so this worked out great for us!

Ours is the night before at 6:45. Depending on how many OOT guests are in the bridal party, you could do it 2 nights before but since no one in our BP lives in the area we wanted to do it the night before so people didn't have to take even more time off of work. 8:00 shoudl be good!

I get a choice from my church. I am going to have it the night before (friday) because I think the guys will forget everything.

This isn't set in stone. We would like the RD to be 2 days before the wedding, on a Friday.

Mine is the night before, on St. Patrick's Day!

Everybody better behave and make it to the church the next day!

My church rehersal is the day before the wedding (Friday). Our church rehersal begins at 7pm. We are actually doing an early dinner at 4pm, then going right to the church, then back to my parents house for coffe & dessert. We are doing it this way because my brother had his wedding rehersal at the same church (3yrs ago) at 7pm. By time we finally got out of there, we didn't wind up eating until 10pm!! Everyone was starved! So, we figured we'd get everyone's tummy's full first so no one gets ansy.

Mine is Friday night for a Sunday wedding and it is good and bad. Some of our OOT bridal party might not be able to make it which is the bad part. The good part is that I won't have to run around the day before my wedding getting ready for the rehearsal.

We're hoping to do our rehearsal tues or wed for a fri night wedding...but only because we are getting married the day after Thanksgiving...I don't think they would have a rehearsal that day anyway.

We're having a rehearsal the morning of the wedding (about 1/2 hour before the ceremony) b/c we're getting married at the hall and typically Jewish weddings do not have a rehearsal. We're having a 'rehearsal dinner' for the bridal party and immediate family the night before.

Ours is at 6pm the night before - we lucked out because the friday night wedding is earlier than normal, otherwise we'd be at 7:30 or so - eek! It's still late, and I'd much rather do it two nights or even a week prior. Unofortunately I have several out of town bridesmaids and even my flower girl is from Cali, so everyone can't be here two days early:(

For you I'd suggest maybe eating beforehand, going to the church, and then going cocktails afterwards if people want to - then you'll already have eaten and have time to hang out, and go back to relax earlier.
