What photographers have the best reputation on LI?

Hello everyone! My question is this: whether or not you chose them, what photographers seem to have the best reputation? I am going to be in NY this weekend (from Boston) and am hoping to meet with a few more photographers. I am not really concerned about price - I went to JoVon and his prices were fine (I just hated his attitude!). I want to know who the BEST is - even if you know someone else 'great for their price'. The photos are sooo important to me!!! Any suggestions?

I`m not sure who is considered the Best, but we were very happy with our photographer - Fine Photos by Eric. You can see a few examples at my site below - the scanning didn`t do them justice and I just dropped them into a standard template, but at least you can see a few samples. http://home.att.net/~sarraga One thing I was thrilled about is that I liked my expression and smile in just about every one of proofs and there were a lot! I usually don`t like the way I look in photos, but these were all good. Later next week he`s supposed to have his new website up and he`s going to be using some of the photos from our wedding. The site is http://www.ericsphotos.com Regardless of who you choose, you might want to consider having at least 2 photographers, maybe more, if the photos are absolutly critically important because that way you have better odds that you`ll get shots you are happy with.

What photographers have the best reputation on LI?

We chose Paul Marino in Massapequa Park. From what I've heard he's really good. His work is outstanding. There were many referrals for him from other brides here back in February/March when I started my planning. He also has a great personality too and he owns the studio. He's the only photographer so you know what your getting. Good luck!

We booked with Doug at Patken. He seems to be the most well rounded photographer we saw. He has a good selection to show you so you get a good idea of what he's capable of. We also saw Paul Marino, he had a bland personality and we felt that he did'nt meld with our personality but his photo's were good. Bart Stevens is also a good one to check out but he leaves after the cocktail hour and leaves his staff photographer to finish unless you pay an extra $500.00. He did not really make that obvious when we met him. We caught it on his brochure when we went home. He's a good photographer but did't have all we were looking for. Doug had all the right things going for him. The price was right even after his premium and his ability to sooth me and my fiance that he will take care of everything. We choose him because of the hight ratings on liweddings.com and from what we saw from Doug. He's a good choice with a great rep. You should also consider using Holdend with Multi media for video (516) 481-2454. He's a reallly nice guy and his prices are great as well as his work

What kind of photography are you looking for? Traditional or candid? Most photographers usually specialize in one or the other.

Most likely I see us have two photographers -- one taking traditional color photos, and the other taking B&W candids.
