What Readings are you doing?

Hey Ladies - those of you getting married in a Catholic Church, I don't even know where to begin...what readings are you having read during your ceremony?

First reading I am probably doing Genesis 2. The second reading will most likely be Corinthians 12: the love is patient one. The Gospel will probbly be Matthew 5 which is the beattitudes. Im not entirely sure though. I have the book from the priest in the church we met with but I have to meet with the priest that is actually marrying us to see if these are good, but I like these readings

I know it's sad that I already know this but hey I might as well get this stuff out of the way now LOL

Old Testament: Tobit 8:5-7

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 145 ('The Lord is compassionate toward all His works).

New Testament: Colossians 3:12-17

Gospel: John 15:12-16 (although I am not sure if you get to choose the Homily so just in case we do, I like this one)

Yes I believe you have to do both readings for a mass or a ceremony.
