Hey ladies! I fell in love with a wedding dress this past weekend and put some money down on it but not half to where they order it. I'm stuck! I always in visioned myself wearing white on my wedding day. The dress is ivory over pale blush. Opinions please? I'm going back this week to try on a similar dress in all ivory because the salon doesn't have it in ivory or white..

Ivory! I was told once by a make up artist that basically if you're a white girl you should wear ivory, LOL. White dresses only look really good on those with a darker complexion.

I was torn because the sample I tried on was blush, but like you I always pictured myself in your typical white wedding gown (trust me, the ivory looks like white unless you see it next to an actual white dress). I ended up deciding that I can wear a blush dress whenever I felt like it, but how often can you wear a white (ivory!) dress.

Ivory!! I personally think ivory is most flattering on all skin tones. white doesn't really do it for me. but my dress is ivory and you can't tell the difference unless you saw it against a white dress. I love the idea of a blush dress but it has to be the right dress on the right girl. for me, I don't think I could pull it off and FH wouldn't be happy!

if you stick with the blush, you can always put your girls in a neutral color and pick the shade depending on the season of your wedding. you can also always accent their dresses with your blush! I'm having the same issue with my dress because it's not what I 'thought' I'd be wearing. the vision definitely changes as you go I've found.

I was debating this once I picked my dress..but my mom convinced me to go for the white, since its more traditional for her and I loved it!!

Mine is technically Alabaster Ivory. The under layer has almost a gold shimmer to it and the lace over is ivory.
