What's up with garters?

What's up with garters?

I don't understand the 'one to keep and one to throw' thing. Do you wear one all day and then switch it to the throw on right before your husband takes it off? Like go to the bathroom? Or do you wear the one you throw and keep the other other one, never having worn it?

Most people who I know who did the toss, wore two. One was high on the mid thigh and that was the keepsake and the toss one was just above her knee.

Actually they sell them now in pairs.In one of the mags that I received they sell them for like 17 for the pair. I think that you would wear BOTH and when your new DH takes the plunge he takes off the throw away and you keep the other one for when YOU REALLy take the plunge. You keep the good one as a keepsake.

I wouldn't have thought of that as a keepsake, but ok. I'm planning to go garter free , unless someoen buys me one I guess. I think it would annoy me, and we are not doing the toss thing.

you can get a nice one to keep and a simple one to throw.
your left leg you keep (closest to your heart)
the right leg he reaches and throws from.

check out ebay, they are reasonable.

I wore two garters. WHen we did the garter toss, my hubby took the throw away garter off and that's what he threw. I still kept my gater on.

I have an 'official' Hello Kitty garter I got on ebay for my keep(check my photo album if you wanna see it) and the throw one I got from michaels and glued a Hello Kitty bead on it!
