we used to do date night 2x a week - we've cut it down instead of 8x a month to about 2-3x a month - it definately helps - we were spending close to 800-1000 a month with date nights - since we're living together its much easier to spend QT at home and make date night there than spend a fortune

We dont go out to eat as much anymore. Instead, we eat homecooked meals.
I've been saving all my change. It adds up so quickly!
Only one vacation a year.
I've been going out less to clubs/bars- that really adds up.

And the thing that's saved me (personally) the most money....I quit smoking back in Nov. as FH's anniversary gift. It's saving me over $100/month!

I QUIT SMOKING TOO!!!!!

Its soooo hard but I'm doing so good. FH always said he would never marry a smoker so I quit for him and also for my dad who had a heart attack back in feb, he smoked for 40 years so I promised I'd quit with him

wow, good job everyone who quit smoking!!!

i am trying not go to shopping like crazy anymore, and if i do go shopping its all done from the sale rack...(i love getting $4-$5 shoes at target, no one ever knows the difference!!) I also bought a monthly plan at the tanning salon so I didnt have to pay per visit anymore (that saved a whole bunch of money right there, and I even upgraded my bed too for cheaper...)
Also, I have tried to cut back on buying extra things at the supermarket (you know, the stuff you buy but goes bad before you can eat it...) and also waiting to buy things until they go on sale...

Congrats!! It was sooo hard but def. worth it. Not just for the money it saves me, but I feel so much healthier and dont smell like smoke anymore!!

I really dont buy anything until it goes on sale! Eventually everything goes on sale and if it doesnt than I really didnt need it in the first place!

Really funny that you brought that up because I just did a budget and realized I spend over $100 a month at Starbucks!! Now, I only go two times a week. Its hard to get going with my latte!

I'm cutting down on things I really want for the wedding...like lighting, and a huge cake!
