The weddings at noon The reception is from 12:30-5:30 We are setting up a large tent in my moms back yard with alcohol and also having some food catered for afterwards I will also be having a limo to take people between their hotel rooms and my moms so no one has to worry about drinking and driving
MY QUESTION IS:
Do I include the invite to my moms for the after party with the invitation for the wedding or do I hand them out at the reception?

Re: What should I do?
I guess I would vote for with the invites. People should probably know before hand so that they can make arrangements. Ie, if anyone wanted to attend the after-party, that might mean staying over night (especially if there's alcohol involved) so they might want to book a hotel in advance.
That's so nice of your mom--it's going to be so much fun! The party will go on and on!

Re: What should I do?
i would include it. this way, people can plan and you can get a better idea of how much food you will need for the after party.

Re: What should I do?
So you would put an extra RSVP in the envelope just for the afterparty? Same responce envelope but 2 RSVP's?

I think with the wedding invitation. If you give them more notice, they will be more likely to come.

Re: What should I do?
Are your invites printed yet? Can you include a 'check this box if you plan to attend after-party' kind of thing? Are you inviting everyone to the after-party, or just a select few? You can ask people to call in RSVP's to your mom, or ask them to indicate on response card...

Re: What should I do?
I would include an insert with the invitation to let everyone know about the after party.
It sounds like it will be a great time!

Re: What should I do?
I have a similar situation , but with a between party, instead of an after party. Its not reserved yet, but we will probably run a bar tab in one of the rooms in the Milleridge Inn btwn the church & reception.
I was thinking of putting of putting it on the directions card if I make my own instead of ususing the provided ones. I guess you could put it on the reception card. I don't knoe what to do about RSVps thoguh. I think we might skip that ,since it doesn't really matter for us, but if you are having food, your mom will want to know.
If you are making a separate card, you could just put : All are welcomed to continute the celebration with an after-hours party at Mom (& dad, if its the case) Somebody's house adress Please indicate on the rsvp card if you'll be able to join us.
