what should I do?

One of my friends has yet to respond. the response date was last Wednesday. this was his response.

I thought I had sent out the
RSVP but found it mixed up with Mom's junk mail pile.
I don't want to say yes and not show up because my
back but would like to be there! I have to wait and
see what happens! I don't know what to do and I hope
you can understand if I can't attend!

I can't wait and see. I'm doing tables tonight. Should I reply stating that I will put him down as a no and if he's feeling good enough to come or tell him I will put him down as a yes and I pretty much know he's not showing up.

UPDATE:
He emailed me back saying if he can make he will try. I emailed him back saying I need a definate answer. He emailed me back to put him down as a no. which I was doing anyway because I think chances are he would be a no show if I put him as a yes.

thanks
He emailed me back to put him down as a no. At least I finally got a s

Tell him you need a straight answer. He sounds like a no to me though with the way he's telling you this.

i would prob tell him that you need a straight answer... if he can't give you one, you'll put him down as a no.
i agree that his answer seems like a 'no' but he feels bad about coming out and saying it, for whatever reason.

I wouldn't include him in your count to the hall, but for seating chart purposes leave a seat for him just in case. That way nobody is put out it he shows up or not.

so annoying. i'm going through this with my extended family. **** or get off the pot, i say! if you're not sure, then make like nancy regan and just say no!

i would count him as a no and not worry about it. most likely you'll have people not show up the day of the wedding or cancel last minute so if he does show up you can just use him as a replacement.

I wouldn't count him either...don't these people understand that this is not like a get together in a backyard...your answer matters alot more!
It makes it harder on you guys..

if he can't give you a straight answer I would put down as a no and add him later!

i agree...it might be more annoying and instrusive to add a person day of, but you'll be angrier if you pay for someone who doesn't show...just be sure that the table you'd put him at has 1 less person so that if he shows, he can be added easily.
