I know people have posted about this before (and I posted this on the 09 board), but….I went to a bridal show at the Huntington Hilton on the 24th and got a phone call yesterday saying I won a free trip, and free gift card but we have to go to a cookware show to get the gifts. The woman told me it is an hour and a half, and we fill out surveys on what we saw., and that we don’t have to buy anything.
Has anyone actually gone to one or do most people just say forget about it and not go or take the trip? I don’t know if its fake, because from what I’ve seen on here, it seems most people say don’t go. FH wants to go to get the free trip and the $1000 gift card…..What should I do?

I got the same call and ignored it. I searched googled the phone number and read the articles about how it is a scam.

I have to disagree... I thought it was all along too.. but after the millionith phone call I said hey, what the hell. It was for **************...and let me tell ya...we left that day without buying a thing... and DID get the free trip. It's only for like 3 days.. and they are parnered with certian hotels in the carribiean and all that. We just needed to pay for the flight. We're planning on going in Nov. to get rid of some of the wedding stress. I'll admit, some of them ARE scams, but not all. We ended up going back with both our Moms, and they pitched in to buy some stuff for us...since it's ALL lifetime warrenties... I reccomend **************...but that's it. :) We got just about the perfect kitchen now... china, silverware, knife set, pots, etc etc... and everyone that comes to see our new kitchen supplies get jeoulous and want to buy it too! You need to read the small print, becuase even though they gave you the trip, when you get there it may be another deal...call the hotel to verify and dont get surprised with fees.

My friend did it first... so that' why I KNOW it's good. lol. She only paid for drinks and extra activies... she said it was well worth it.

I got a flabillion phone calls as well - I went to the Huntington Hilton show in May. I actually set up the appointment, then FH convinced me it was a scam, declared that I trust WAAAAY to many people, and was such a grump about it that we ended up just not going. No worse for the wear!

I just replied on another post about this. It is a scam - you can look up the company on BBB. I'm guessing it was **************...or something like that... They'll give you free trip alright, after purchasing tons of unecessary cookware. In my case, I am a skeptic and didn't believe the guy - found out the next day that I was not being silly. Steer clear of these con artists!

yes, we got the call. I was very excited about it and we were going to go until FH started looking up all sorts of reviews on it. The company we got the call from was **************. There were so many people with horror stories about these meetings. One person claimed that he said no to purchasing all the products. They said okay sign here for your free trip and he wound up getting merchandise he never ordered and a huge bill that he didn't want to pay but they kept coming after him. Just beware!

It's amazing to me that they are allowed to do this! All future bride-to-bes are always hoping to hear that we've won some sort of deal! Not to be pulled in by these scam artists! Not right...

Here's some more info about their scams by people that have been scammed by this r o y a l p r e s t ig e company.
I personally would NEVER associate with a company that has ripped off soo many people. I don't care if there may be a possibility of getting something free even a vacation. Most likely you will just become another one of their victims.

Its a scam, I got a call after visiting David's Bridal.
I forgot the company name but you can google it and all the scams for it come up.

ME AND FH DID THIS WE DIDNT BUY ANYTHIMG AND GOT THE FREE TRIP BUT HAVE NEVER USED IT. ALSOGOT THE 500$ GIFT CERTIFICATE WHICH ****** U HAD TO BUY OFF A WEBSITE AND ALL THE STUFF WAS GARBAGE AND U TO PAY SHIPPING.
